We will use this blog to provide updates, evidence, and non-partisan analysis about matters of state and federal policy as they pertain to and affect health, health coverage, health care in Wisconsin. We consider how decisions made in the public and private sectors will affect populations as a whole and various groups differently.
Our Health Policy programs reside within the UW Population Health Institute. The Institute works to advance health and well-being for all by developing and evaluating interventions and promoting evidence-based approaches to policy and practice at the local, state, and national levels.
Toward these ends, we will ask of policies and programs: What works? Who pays? Are the means and the ends equitable?
